AKA The Unicorn 😉
Hey everyone! It’s me, Brandi! I am married to my wonderful husband, Bryan! We will celebrate 15 years in August! We are blessed to have 4 kiddos; Riley, Madi, Alexander & Kailyn! Oh yeah, and our pooch Sparky (he’s a Chug…chihuahua/pug mix)! We live in southern MN, just an hour south of Minneapolis!
I grew up in Iowa and I’m a HUGE Hawkeye fan! Like the football schedule is on my Google calendar and the Hawkeye flag hangs year-round outside our front door! And there is memorabilia all over my house! Bryan likes to say that he rescued me from Iowa. Pshhhh! I have been a teacher in many different capacities since graduating from Central College. From job sharing to teaching full-time in 3rd grade to long-term subbing to just finishing my 3rd year teaching preschoolers! I have also done in-home daycare for almost 4 years while my hubby went back to medical school! First and foremost I am a woman of faith and feel this journey has been a God-thing since the beginning (more about that in the section “Brandi’s Journey to Surrogacy”)!
Bryan grew up in MN. He used to be an athletic trainer but went back to school to become a PA. He now works in orthopedics (think knee replacements, hips, elbows, shoulders…). He loves serving others in that way…and from what others say he’s pretty good at it! Bryan is a big MN Wild fan! We like to go to a few games every season thanks to a friend who has season tickets!
Our four kiddos keep us pretty busy with sports, music, theater and church activities! Seriously, with four kids, just keeping up with their laundry can be a full-time job! I love being their mom!!! Watching them grow and learn to spread their wings has been my greatest joy!
And now, with this amazing journey upon us, the whole family is overjoyed! My husband has been such a support this far, and I don’t see that changing! (Thank you, honey!). My kids ask questions about everything as they are on this journey as well! We are excited for this adventure and I am beyond thankful that I get to be a part of Travis’ and Tory’s family story!
